Youth Pastor at Liberty Christian Center. He is a worship leader here at liberty Christian in multiple departments. He contributes and is a part of the men’s department in discipling and event planning. He also a volunteer at Youth for Christ organization going on school campuses to spread the gospel. He aspire to be to be an evangelist traveling the world to do ministry when the door opens. His vision and calling for ministry is to say yes to God and to walk through the doors he has called me into.

I have been a pastor for 19 years now and my heart’s desire is to see God move in a powerful way. I have served here at Liberty Christian Center for almost 50 years and the one thing that is still the most important aspect of ministry is God has to move as well as we have to allow God to move

Sheryl and her husband Rodger have three amazing sons and three beautiful daughter-in-laws; David & Melody, Darren & Shana and Derek & Heather. Their children have blessed them with twelve awesome grandchildren. She’s devoted to her family, loves football, playing her guitar, fishing trips with her family, music and spending time in God’s Word.  

Spanish Pastors

Pastors Joel & Elvie Martinez

LCC Spanish Ministry

Pastors Joel and Elvie Martinez have devoted their lives to serving God and helping people. With more than 50 years of ministry experience, they have served in pastoral ministry, evangelism, teaching, and discipleship. Since 2012, they have been part of Liberty Christian Center, where they have a special love for the LCC Spanish Ministry.

Pastor Joel holds a Doctorate in Ministry, a Master’s Degree in Theology, and completed his Bachelor’s degree from Azusa Pacific University. Before coming to LCC, he served the community as a Los Angeles County Deputy Sheriff, a social worker and a teacher in post-secondary schools. He is the author of The Abundant Life Series, written to help people know Christ and build a strong foundation in God’s Word.

Throughout their years together, Elvie has faithfully served alongside Joel, sharing his love for people and commitment to ministry. She holds degrees in Business Administration and Computer Information systems and has served the community in Public Relations at the Kern County Sheriff’s Office and in Los Angeles County as a Specialist in the Housing sector.

Together, they consider it a privilege to serve the LCC family and especially the Spanish-speaking community. Together their desire is to help people know Jesus, grow in God’s Word, experience the abundant life Christ offers, and share His love with others.
